There are other reviews that convey my thoughts better about some of the cardboard characters and how the author’s mind-voice as his female protagonist doesn’t work. All I could put to words is how it’s such a shame that Andy Weir did a Chetan Bhagat on his sophomore novel. It feels like a book written as a script for a low-budget sci-fi heist(?) movie that will probably be made for Netflix or Prime.

Couple of reasons why I gave this book 3 stars instead of 2.
1) Do better next time. Martian was awesome.
2) I can’t look back on 2018 and feel sad that I read two 2-star books :|
